Hi everyone I finally decided to commit to a solid PC which I will be using primarily for gaming and classwork (college student) and I need it to be around the $600 price point. I want it to be able to stand up to upcoming AAA games while being able to function well as my everyday workstation. This would be my first build and any help would be greatly appreciated.

For gaming and light work (word processing and internet research i imagine?) you cant go wrong with an i5 processor or an fx 6300. Both will handle the hard work fine, but for gaming you will need to consider a decent GPU. This will depend greatly on the monitor or TV you plan to do all this on.
