I want to max out BF4 High to Ultra everything 200% resolution scale .. how would i do it? Crossfire/SLI is probably gunna be the only way .. so Crossfire 7990s? or 290x? or SLI GTX 780 Ti's or Titans?

Im not dead set on doing it but come christmas after mantle update depending on performance I might future proof myself.

Solution

Indeed, the coolers on the 290's at the moment go to 95 deggree's which is ridiculous.

I cant wait for the Asus ones coming out, got a BTF4 fan as a friend, but he hasnt touched the game and still waiting for the non-reference designs.

Since BTF joined teams with AMD he refuses any other card then the best of AMD.

What a drama i know! really curious about mantle, i already have stable 60-80 FPS and reguarly in whole areas for quite some time above 100, havent even checked FPS sinds optimization!

Im really satisfied with my 7950, mantle is my hope for the future as a programmer myself, i can feel everyones paine.

Any of these is absolutly fine: 7950, 7970, 280, 290 (or X versions for that matter)
If going for a 7970 be sure to find a ghz edition.

Then Crossfire R9 290x :) .
It will be more powerful and make sure that your system should not bottleneck with this GPU. :ange:

well hopefully the non reference cards will be alot better on temps because my crossfire 7850s rarely hit 60degrees they average 54

i heard their temps were rediculous

Im getting the similar FPS maybe slightly more on average 90-110 .. i'm using a config file aswell and also have capped my fps at 120 instead of default 200 so that my gfx cards arent over working themselves .. stable very rarely drops below 90 quite happy but thats on low settings with 100% resolution scale i want to max everything out to the max now lol..

who knows maybe this mantle update will change everything haha

Furthermore, while no details were provided, Sapphire has announced that in the coming weeks it will be coming out with various different R9-290 graphics cards built on its own designs, with better cooling solutions. If you're in the market for an R9-290 card, you're probably better off waiting for custom cards to come out,

In todays article! good news there!

that's the R9 290 though .. any mention of the R9 290x .. i would assume they would do both .. I know there isn't a huge different between the two cards but if your going to do it you may as well do it right
