More about faster hard drive seagate 1tb black 1tb
  1. WD Caviar Black is faster than Seagate Barracuda without any doubt because of its better components and speed.
WD Caviar Blue and Seagate Barracuda performs almost same.
WD Caviar Green is not that much good but it requires less power and WD Green shut downs itself when not in use, this cause to a certian lag sometimes.
WD Caviar Black is much better Hard Drive.

Actually the new barracuda's are much faster. I have two caviar blacks and a Barracuda. My WD blacks read and write around 90mb/s and the Seagate is about 190mb/s. Seagate actually revised the barracuda last September I believe. I was blown away when I first ran some benches on it. PS: Maybe it's only the 2tb model that achieves those speeds, but for the difference in price it may be worth it for that extra speed.

:o thank you for this information.
    I really didn't know that.
Anyways, according to my experience Seagate is better than WD.
