I have 2 hot swap trays on my case- a 3.5" Desktop and a trau for 2.5" Laptop drives- and I'm having issues with actually swapping the drives. Both hot swap trays were working fine before I swapped mobo's (M5A97 Rev1.1 to M5A97 R2.0) Here's the current system specs:

FX-8320 (Stock speeds)
M5A97 R2.0
16GB DDR3 Ballistix Sport PC3-12800
256 ADATA SX900 Pro
2TB Seagate Barracuda
Windows 8 Pro

Here are the hotswap trays:

Laptop (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997014)

I've read up on this and I've tried three different possible solutions:
- Using softwares (e.g. HotSwap! and updating AMD's RAID drivers)
- Unchecking the indexing option in each hard drive's Properties
- Enabling hot swap abilities in BIOS (Ver. 1903)

When using the HotSwap! software, I could remove the drives like any ol' flash drive, but when I go to put another hard drive in the same slot, it wouldn't be recognized. Same thing with putting the same drive that was just ejected in the same or different slot.

When not using any software (or just removing the drives by hand), the hard drive is still shown in Windows Explorer, and I am able to access the drive as if it is still connected to the computer, later to leave a nice couple of errors in the Event Viewer.

Unchecking the indexing option in each hard drive's Properties did next to nothing, just left searches to be a tad slower.

I'm out of options at this point. I don't believe that both hot swap trays are bad, as I haven't had either for more than a month. Thanks for any input.
