I just purchased a Dell desktop with Ethernet interface built in but I have Wifi in my home. Dell told me I could get a wireless adapater so I would have wifi to this new desktop...I am a bit confused, so many different specifications/prices...what should I be looking to get? Will the usb adapter work fine? Dell tech told me they run about 10-20 dollars. I don't want anymore wires or cords because of how my room is set up. Thanks.

I'll assume you're after a USB dongle.

They are typically quite cheap and are easy to install and use.

Here's a few as an example, both decent and will get you'r computer online over the wireless.

Would there be any security issues using either one of these, and also, if you were to choose, which one would you consider to be better? Thanks again.

The biggest security hole would be your wifi's password, once you have connected to the modem it's completely secure, unless someone already has access to your wifi network.

And If I were to choose, I would go with the TP-Link I actually own one and it's been pretty good to me and it's faster than my Internet connection so I'm more than happy with it's speeds.

Obviously you can spend a little more and get bigger and better gear that will go faster and faster, but at the end of the day you can't beat using a Wired connection.
