Hi!
I am planning to buy a Coolermaster K281 Mid-Tower Case, because there's a really nice deal in my local store, but i'm noy sure about the case. Is it going to keep a nice airflow? Is it roomy? Are there any major problems associated with it?

Thanks

More about : good case

Having owned a cheap Cooler Master case I think I can find issues. Behind the mobo is 0 space for cables, so you'll have to stick them between the rear wall and HDD tray. Also, there will be lots of cables in middle area. Also, the included case fan is horrible. You'll have to replace it, but maybe you could put it on the side. The CM fan that came with my case was really weak. It was designed for a office pc without a GPU.

Any other choices?

Well, if I buy a MSI motherboard and graphics card, I'll get it for free so :)

What was the model of your case?

I had the Cooler Master elite 431 plus. I hated it. It cost $50usd. I wished I would have spent $70 and got something worlds better. (which I did and now the 431 is collecting dust) Cheap cases are not designed for gamers. They are more like a mom's pc.

I tell you this so you understand the limitations and what it is designed for. It isn't a bad case. It just isn't a case designed for gaming and cooling. I had to buy 3 good fans to keep it cool. Then in the end I still replaced it.

The promo is: if i buy MSI motherboard and graphics card, they offer me the case, and I was thiniking in getting the Z87-GD65 Gaming and the Gtx 770 2Gb. You think I shouldn't go with it, even with an additional fan, plus the 2 existing on the case?

I would never let one of my friends buy that case. Please don't. I know its a deal but that mobo and 770 are high end components. Do not buy that case. You can find much better solutions for a decent price.

Z87 im assuming you're getting a K series with plans to overclock then? That hardware will put out a decent amount of heat you will want to get a good case for it i like the NZXT Phantom its under $100 with good airflow and cable management . If its really a budget buster to get a case you can always try and mod the case yourself things like drilling out the vent holes to make them bigger and optimal fan placement are key here are a few tips that might help http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/guide-to-prop...
