pls help. i have a pc which connects to the internet via a usb wifi adapter (TP LINK TL-WN727N). i have installed the latest drivers. i have no problems connecting to the wifi network and staying connected. but the internet connection stops after a few minutes. i have to run the troubleshooter which fixes the problem but it only lasts for a few minutes before i lose the internet again.
i have a 2nd pc connected to the network via a lan cable and that one doesnt lose the internet connection at all.

More information might help. What router? How often does this occur -- only at certain times or constantly? Was everything working fine, or has this been a problem since you set up the wireless connection? Can any other wireless devices attach and stay connected without an issue -- that would tell you that your wireless radio is probably not the problem so you could focus on the adapter and other interference. Next you can try the adapter on another computer to see if it has the same issue.

If everything is okay from the above, there are a couple things that I would start out with. I would download and run inSSIDer, a free wireless signal detector from HERE to detect nearby networks on your channel. Also, I would try setting a static address in the computer and router static table, and set the computer DNS from automatic to the address of your gateway with a backup DNS setting of 8.8.8.8.

router - Innacomm W3400V wireless modem
usb wifi adapter - TP LINK TL-WN727N
os on all pcs - win7 home premium

the tplink worked fine for a couple of days before this problem cropped up. now it happens all the time. my network connection is excellent strenght but i get an internet connection for a little while and then lose it. i have an old belkin adapter that stays connected fine. i changed to the new tplink coz the old belkin had a BSOD problem http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1852738/decipher...

i tried the tplink on another pc and the same problem.

Did you run the program that I linked called inSSIDer to see if there were interfering networks?

That is a very low signal strength, you really want to see around -60dB. What do you get say 5 feet from the router for a signal strength? It seems that your wireless radio in the router may be the issue.
