I am unable to input welcome screen password becaude my keyboard and mouse
(wireless) stopped workingafter blowing out mu PC, they are USB powered, batteries are new in both mouse and keyboard.tried removing CMOS battery, no luck, might be stored on the hard drive.

since they are wireless they have to have a dongle that plugs into a usb port, try moving that to a different port, or try a plugged in keyboard or mouse if you have one. also, most wireless things have a sync button to resync stuff back up. has nothing to do with the hard drive, but the usb port that sends and receives the info from the keyboard/mouse to the pc.

Tried the above ... no luck, I need to get past the admin password on the welcome screen,I might be able to do something then,kinda tough or impossible with out a mouse and kbd.
