My specs are pcpartpicker.com/user/Jagyir/saved/2VGG

I know it'll boot faster, but, for mainly gaming and web browsing and using jar applications and little javascript .exe's will an ssd really benefit me? I really don't have any room cost wise for one, thats why I'm asking before I complete my final purchase.

I think SSDs are overhyped. TRUE, anyone who uses one will notice a difference, but I don't recommend it to people on a tight budget.

basically, if you've ever used a computer with an SSD, it'll be hard to go back. but if you haven't, it's not so bad to skip on it, and you can always upgrade later when you have some spare cash. I personally consider it more of a luxury item than a necessity.

Anything and everything that reads from the hard drive will be incredibly faster. You can even consider a smaller SSD like 120GB or so in the $100 range I usually only play one or two different games a time and just move them on and off the SSD and specifically loading times in MMOS are drastically reduced, and general snapiness of everything else i do is much quicker. I only upgraded to one last year, and i will never use a system without one again.

even two hdds in raid 0 are a decent option as well but are more likely to fail. I can see a difference vs 1hhd but its nothing compared to an ssd. It will not help in gaming in terms of performance though

Like I pointed out, once you use an SSD, it's almost impossible to go back. I'm personally in the same boat as you. but I've noticed that people who're still on HDDs don't mind the 'slowness' if they're on a tight budget. an SSD makes a much smaller difference for gaming than say the difference between a gtx 760 and gtx 770
