or

MSI 990FXA-GD65

Which is the board that doesnt need a BIOS UPDATE. and which board has the best bang for the buck . . Please dont recommend other boards because this 2 boards are the boards that is available in my country . . Please put the advantages of the board why is it the good choice . . Thanks in advance for those who will take time to answer . . .

ASROCK 990FX EXTREME3 is a very good motherboard with 2x PCI Express 2.0 x16. Great for SLI & Crossfire.

Well you know if went with a different board instead...I'm just kidding. Both boards will support that processor, but both of them will require a BIOS update to the latest revision. For the ASRock it needs BIOS version P1.40 and for the MSI it needs 7640vJ9. No way around this I'm afraid.

I don't see any significant differences in terms of features other than the ASRock supporting up to four GPUs, while the MSI looks like it will only SLI/Crossfire. If that's not a concern, then the things to look at are the UEFI/BIOS features. Do you prefer working with ASRock's features and interface or MSI's?
