Hi,

I currently purchased a CMstorm quickfire pro for my brand new PC..

at first it was working well, but as i restart my pc several times, i noticed that loading the keyboard really takes a lot of time both in bios and in win 7,

i also have noticed that the devices show an HID keyboard which might help me in answering my question.

does different keyboard has different compatibility to?

please help me with my inquiry

some dude has the same issue as me (well, thats what i understand )

well look at this ... go to windows event viewer - custom views - administrative events then look at the events listed and see if there is on for service controal manger eventlog provider- click on that look at general tab and see if its like failed to load i8042prt.. i beleave thats the ps/2 driver and maybe causing your issue[??] it comes up for me but i seem to boot fine but you never know i got the quickfire ultamate . this did not happen untill i got a ''gamimg'' keyboard with my non gaming usb keyboards this error dont show up. i've used 2 ''gaming'' keyboards and it comes up with bouth brands' im thimking that it has to do with the nkro set up there useing. good luck.

hi junkeymonkey, thanks for your input but it seems that there is no error for port i8042.. although there are alot of errors.. no specific error like you have said,,,

could you suggest any other trouble shooting?

i realy dont know outher than try another usb keyboard and see if the issue is still there. being windows 7 it should be good to go. or plug it into the outher usb ports to see if theres a change also be sure the usb on the cord that plugs into the keyboard it self is good may have worked loose. sorry i cant be more help.
