Hey guys, working on building a new system. Mostly for:
Watching Videos, Netflix, surfing the 'net
Coreldraw, Illustrator, Vectric Aspire (3D)
maybe the occasional game
Is this overkill for what I'm wanting to do....? I'll be honest the last system I put together was back in 2003 (AMD Athlon XP 2600+, Mach Speed N2PAP-Lite, 2GB Ram, GeForce 6200) and it's been doing me good all these years!
This is what I've thought of so far....
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($94.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: AMD 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: AMD 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 6670 1GB Video Card ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill Galaxy-02 ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Rosewill Hive 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer ($15.99 @ Newegg)
