Hey guys, working on my first build for architectural renderings and 3d modeling. It's a tight budget of $850 (without OS or Display)

Will be using:
3ds max with Vray
CS5
Rhino
AutoCad

Any suggestions or edits? People keep suggesting a better GPU but for the price, I think I might have to stick with this one.

Thanks!

good build actually, but just as they say, if you can stretch your budget atleast make it to R9 280x, 7970 or gtx 770, it would really help you when modeling a large scale on 3ds max, you can see the difference on viewport as many polygons are, there would be a slowdown on the viewport.

you can also change your CPU to FX 8350 with 100$ less cost than 4770k, and get an even less costing am3+ motherboard to compensate on upgrading your Graphics card. FX 8350 is a monster at rendering 3D >> http://www.hardware.fr/articles/880-7/rendu-3d-mental-ray-v-ray.html

Theres no doubt that 4770k is better in gaming, but when it comes to rendering 8350 is not a slouch, 4770k might be 30-50 seconds faster than 8350 but for me waiting for another...

Ahhh you guys are killing me here. Especially because I've had problems with modeling fine details on large scale projects in the past - Polygons disappear and reappear and zoom tool starts glitching which is so frustrating, that it's probably worth the couple hundred extra bucks. Unfortunately, I bought the 4770k because Microcenter started selling it for $200. So really I'm at $767, maybe I'll just take your advice and throw that $100 at a GPU....

Option 2 is stick with this card for the time being and upgrade later.

Thanks a bunch M0kujin!
