Hey everyone, i am a bit unsure of whether some of these parts are overkill, and i am looking for some input into what i could do to lower the price without effecting the performance of this machine. I am also wanting to over clock the CPU for improved performance.

I am going to be gaming and the normal internet browsing, with the time to time use of video editing. Therefore, i am looking for a smooth 60+fps when playing the games listed below.

Preferred pc games to play are : Battlefield 4, COD Ghosts, Assassins Creed 4 and GTA 5(when it comes out)

Thanks for your time and response.

If you're just gaming, you only need the i5-4670k. If you're not overclocking too heavily, you probably won't need the Noctua either, and I will tell you right now the Corsair Dominators will NOT fit under the Noctua. I have Vengeance Pros and I've had to move the fan up roughly 1/3rd of the heatsink.

You also really only need the ASUS Maximus VI Hero motherboard.

I would look into the Samsung EVO 256GB ssd instead, higher reliability and probably higher speeds.

Thanks for the responses, i have changed the CPU to the i5-4670k, but am unsure of what cpu cooler to get after the above response. What would you recommend for over clocking at a stable clock speed?

Cheers

In terms of the i5-4670k and the i7-4770k is there a noticeable difference in performance? and just to note, i am trying to build a pc which will be future proof for about 2-3 years, with space to SLI 780 ti. Thanks

There's not a huge difference between the two, for 2-3 years an i5-4670k would still likely do fairly well, although it might need to be overclocked a tad bit.

If it helps, I'm currently running an i5-4670k with SLI 780s (bought them before the Tis came out :() and well it runs everything I throw at it.
