Hello, I've just installed a new GTX 770, I was trying out some games, when the computer suddenly reboots. I have a 700 W PSU, cheap one, that has 40 A on the 12V . I do not think it is that because it isn't too hot when the pc restarts, and as soon as it started up again I controlled the 770 temperature and it was around 35-40 celsius. Any ideas ? Thanks

Solution
it quite possibly could be the molex adapter. i have had an issue similar when the molex was not connected properly it would short out the system causing it to reboot which i believe is a fail safe to prevent the shortout doing damage to components.

if your psu doesnt have the correct 6-8 pin plug for newer video cards i would recommend upgrading your psu to one with the right connector

Temperature was 60 Celsius in both cases, yesterday I ran Battlefield 4 maxxed out and play for about half an hour and nothing happened, today I played Assassin's Creed 4 for about half our and it restarted.

EDIT: When I connected the Card to the PSU, I used an old 6 pin to molex adaptor, it came in with my old 460GTS, could that be the problem ?

It was that, it was because the molex were on the same rail, they had to be on different rails otherwise it'll short out the system. I'm upgrading to a corsair CX750 because it has a connector per rail, so it's ideal. Thank you !
