I switched an asus p8z68-m pro for an asus p8h77-m le. On the old motherboard, I had a 60gb ocz with windows 7 home premium installed, and a 1tb hdd. I switched the mobo, and only connected the ssd. when it boots, i have an option to launch startup repair, or start windows normally. Pic of screen: http://computerhelpgeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/windows-error-recovery.jpg

if i choose start windows normally, It freezes for a second at the loading screen, then there's a flash of a blue screen and i end up at the same place.

if i chose 'launch startup repair' i get this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sNjCx-Y9Sdo/Tw_P0Y2zmDI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/kitqCgPzcnM/s1600/jaeebgbc-705688.png

I don't have the windows 7 disk, but i will buy it again if there is no other option. Thank you in advance!

EDIT: Thanks guys! I rummaged around and found the windows 7 disk that came with the computer. I reinstalled and everythings fine.

2 potential issues:

1. Windows license. If Windows 7 OEM, you will need to buy a new license.

2. Hardware changes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You fall into the latter category.
Reinstall fresh, with the new hardware and see what happens. Unless #1 applies.

as USAFRet stated in option 2, you can try a fresh install. If that doesn't work, try contacting microsoft and explain that your old mobo died and this was the closest replacement you were able to find, they may allow it.
