I'm in the market for a relatively low budget cooler to replace the stock Intel cooler, which is old and very noisy. After some search for low rpm and low noise I decided for the 212 evo.
CPU is the q6600 and motherboard the abit ip35 pro. I would like to place the cooler pushing air to the rear. My biggest concern is that the heatsink above the northbridge might hit with the heatpipes as the are going up.
Has anybody succeeded putting those two together?
I will open the case soon to get some measurements but coolermaster provides on they site only the basic ones and it seems to be very close...

Thanks for the reply.
I am looking for those I marked in the picture below.
I measured the motherboard and the black one shouldn't be a problem.
But I found out that two of those round capacitors are very near the cpu socket (on the north side of it) and are also a bit taller than the cpu metallic cover level. Not much (about 0,5mm taller) but this may be a problem. I see that the heatsink pipes are flat level when they come out of the square base that attaches to the cpu (is it actually square?, don't know...) and start to rise up after some way. So I want to know the size marked in blue below.

Here is the situation a descibed above

The northbidge heatsink is at most 3.5cm high (above the upper cpu level). So it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, I calculated what I needed proportionally from images of the cooler and already got one. I 'm 95% sure it will fit. Will try it tomorrow and post the result.
