Solution
all your specs seem ok for a upgrade. your going to want to find out the exact make and model of your power supply though. And make sure it has the right connectors. you may want to think about purchasing a better power supply.

You'll probably need a new PSU, 460w doesn't provide any information that can be used to determine if it can or cant power it, if you read off the specs (on a label on the side of it) and see if it has the cables for it (I think a 7870 takes two 6 pin connectors). Other than that, good to go.

It should be a direct drop in. Both cards use a single 6pin and both cards "require" a 500w psu. Dell psu's are generally pretty good, but you would be pushing the limit with a 7870 as it draws an additional 90w over the 7770. The wise thing to do would be to upgrade the psu also to a solid 600w Corsair or XFX.
