Hi everyone!
I Recently bought a new Video card ( Geforce GTX 760 4GB) so i could play bf4 decently, thing is i get about 30 frames per second give or take(ultra). I've read 760 can easily get 60 FPS (with a decent setup). I have a pretty old computer setup so was wondering if i could do anything to maximize my game play, or if there's something wrong with my game...etc. Here are my PC specs from dxdiag:

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

MOBO :GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H ( BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG )

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz

Memory: 8192MB RAM (Available OS Memory: 7422MB RAM)

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4GB

Resolution :1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Nvidia Driver: 331.65

PSU: 550W supply

Let me know if there's anything else i should post, or download to get a better reading and what not.

-Thanks in advance :)

The CPU is probably going to drag you down a little, but it really depends on what you are trying to do. BF4 is pretty demanding, and if you are trying to run at 1080P with 4xMSAA, then it's quite likely your fps with that setup should be in the 30s somewhere (I'd have guessed higher 30s rather than lower though)

I agree. i downloaded the latest nvidia driver (331.82) and it lowers my FPS massively, which i think that's the issue in this case. i remember having the .56 driver or so (before .82) and it ran perfectly. They have to work on the driver for this game in my opinion. Will keep investigating and trying other drivers to see the best result, thanks :)

I'm sorry to keep on this thread but I want to go a little further. I have a i3 3220 and gtx 660 and for (I'm sure) most hardcore gamers would say it's not enough for new games. I agree but since I can play BF4 on ultra a average 40 fps I don't really care. Now the biggest issue I have is that the game continuously crashes. I mean in game it's really smooth but then comes the crash and I'm like "WTF!!! Not again!". I stopped playing it and hang with BF3 atm.

Most crashes seems to be gone for me in the last patch.
Windows 7 x64
7850 2 GB latest beta driver
i5 3570K (not overclocked)
12 gb RAM

Getting smooth gaming at all times with an avarage of 40-50 fps so I'm really not complaining. I guess it could be your Nvidia card although I hear that some people still have with crashes running Windows 7. So it may be a combination of Nvidia drivers and Windows 7?
Also make sure to join a decent server.. Some servers out there are not very stable at the moment.

I find it strange that OP is getting fps as low as 30 even witht that CPU. You should try to see if your CPU is running at 100% when gaming before doing anything else.

... They claimed that BF4 would be optimized for AMD cards... Seems like there's actually some truth in that for a change.
