ASUS RT-AC66U - Disable error redirect

Hi All,

I am using the ASUS RT-AC66U as a Access Point to connect 2 iPads, 1 Laptop and 1 Network Printer together as a LAN. I set it to Wireless Router Mode (default) and everything is working fine.

There is only one issue, when I try to connect the ipad to the WIFI network, it will prompt the asus error redirect page. Instead of connecting directly, I will have to press "connect without internet" on the ipad. I tried the method on https://moeffju.net/blog/disable-asus-rt-n66u-error-redirect but it doesn't disable the redirect. I suppose it's because the model is different?

Is there a way for me to disable the error redirect for this particular router? I really need help on this. :(

Thank you!
Nelson.

I would flash it to the MERLIN firmware, which I have used and is quite good. The other reasonable choice is Tomato firmware. I would not use dd-wrt yet though.
