Hi all,

I recently bought a few things for a new computer, one being an evga 780 FTW edtion. About ten minutes after plugging in, little white boxes in a diagonal form appeared on the screen then the comp crashed. On reboot it showed the windows 8 logo, the just white and black horizontal lines. I was wondering if this is a hardware or driver issue, as I didn't have an optical drive so I installed drivers manually. I was just wondering any possible fixes before I spend two weeks in the RMA process.

My system:
Intel Core i5 Haswell
EVGA 780 FTW
Asus Impact
120 gb ssd
Corsair h100i

Thanks,
William

That PSU should be okay. Are you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)?

I assume you got the latest drivers directly from nvidia.com. True?

Also, how hot is your GTX780 at idle and under load (this only applies if the system will fully boot)?
