Can my Laptop play the latest games?

I have a laptop, but i dont know if the game I buy will work. However it has some good specs.


Specifications:

CPU: 1.8-GHz Intel Core i3-3217UM Dual Core mobile
OS: Windows 8
RAM: 4GB
Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000

Depends on the game. At 1366x768 resolution most non graphics intensive games should be playable with medium quality settings. For games that are graphics intensive, you would need to drop that down to low quality settings. Extremely graphic intensive games would generally not be playable.

The following should help you out. Note that not all Intel HD 4000 graphics core are the same. Different CPUs will have the Intel HD 4000 running at different speed. Ultra low voltage (ULV) CPUs like the one in your laptop tends to have lower performing Intel HD 4000 than say something like the quad core i7-3632QM.
