I'm wondering if 850w with 70A on the v12 rail will be enough for two of these cards in SLI? They're factory overclocked slightly higher than average so i'm thinking they may use more than the recommended 62A for 780 SLI.

The PSU i'm thinking of getting is the TX 850 V2.

This(http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/59857-zotac-geforce-gtx-780-amp-edition-updated/?page=10) Zotac 780 amp review shows the power usage at 336 watts at load for a single card. So i was thinking 336 watts / 12 v = 28 amps for one card. Mutiply 28 amps * 2 for SLI and you get 56A for two of these in SLI which the TX850 should be able to handle. Am I completely off?

Thanks for your answers!

I'd like to see a picture when you're done. Right now I have one Zotac GTX 780 AMP! and looking to get another. I'm using a Corsair RM850 PS. Just the one AMP! is rocking my three 1080 ASUS monitors on all ultra settings playing GTA 5 and never gets over 64 degrees. Eat your heart out Titan!

Update
I just SLI'd 2 GTX 780 amps. Running an RM850. GTA 5 was crashing maxing it out on 5760x1080. Now it runs perfect with all ultra settings. Running the OC Genie.
Seems to have plenty of power :D

Nice!

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:
GeForce GTX 780 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 780 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
GeForce GTX 780 3-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 1200 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
If you are going to overclock your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

I think I'd like to go 3 way Sli here but my psu barely won't let one of these cards fit the bottom p-cie. It's just a few mm too tall plus the fans would have no breathing room if that few mm's were removed. I'll have to check height specs on 1200 watters, relocate the psu, or rebuild in a new case.
Might be better off just running this for another year or 2 and upping to 990s or something. Haven't done a lot of homework on the latest steroid injected cards recently.
Fun times
