Hey guys,

I was hoping to get some advice on building a pc. If someone can take a look at the list of parts and tell me if they're right for each other, I don’t want to order incompatible components.

Motherboard: Asus Z87-Deluxe ($273.99)
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K ($289.99)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz ($149.99)
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti ($259.99)
Sound card: Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional ($110.00)
Hard drive: Intel 520 Series SSD 240 GB ($250.44)
Hard drive: WD Black 1 TB ($84.99)
Chassis: Corsair Carbide Series 200R ($49.99)
Power supply: Corsair HX 850 Watt ($149.99)
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master TPC 812 ($64.99)

(I looked the prices at amazon to get an estimate cost, I want to be under $1,700)
I plan to use the computer for gaming, I usually play CoD and BF.

If anyone has suggestions for better parts please let me know!

Thanks a lot!

Looks good over a quick glance. Based on the assumption that you are using the SSD for the OS, and only the OS, you would only need to get 120GB~. Also, the sound card is not a necessity, unless you really want the extra umph in your sound. Also, if you are getting the K CPU (K=Unlocked if you did not already know), I would suggest a Corsair liquid cooler, such as the H100i.

Oh, I didn't know that, I think I'm going for the i7-4770 since I'm not planning on overclocking, then, do I need a different CPU cooler? And yes, the SSD is only for the OS. I also thought that the sound card is not really necessary.
Thank you!

No, you would not need a different cooler, but maybe a H80i from Corsair? (http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX42590) The only reason I am pointing to the liquid cooling is because it is one of the high end i7 CPUs. This also makes the inside a little neater, and you can barely hear it. It is a bit more expensive, but it is a very good intro to liquid cooling. If of course your case does not have the room for the smaller radiator even, then the one from Cooler Master would work fine as well.
