I really really really suggest not spending any money on 1366 :p

But the reason the boards are so expensive is because no more are being made, or have been made for quite awhile. Typically the processors outlast the boards, so people keep replacing their boards with another 1366 board to support the CPU they already have. Especially businesses.

The 2nd reason they're so expensive is because people are trying to get better 1366 boards with as many features as possible that are also found on current boards (like yourself). These 2 things combined are putting a high demand on something where no more will ever be made. They get rarer and rarer everyday.

As far as price and quality, and if you absolutely must overpay for this stuff...

There are few left since socket 1366 died awhile back. Newegg doesn't seem to have any at all and the ones left on Amazon are probably alot more than you wanted to pay: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p...048424&ie=UTF8&qid=1385616434&rnid=6002773011

Note that the cheapest one ($267) is missing the backplate I/O shield lol

They do have a larger selection of socket 1366 in general (but nearly all are server boards returned in the search), but only those with USB 3.0.

Yes you could still use your old DDR3 RAM. And rather than spend so much money on a new 1366 motherboard, it would be better spent on some newer tech, though while there are faster mainstream CPUs, they're not so much faster that you should feel a need to upgrade just yet, assuming you're using this rig for gaming and stuff. Only if you're into number crunching/3D CAD/video processing will it really matter.
