I am running an Acer Aspire 5920 on Vista,
Intel Core 2 Duo T5450
2 GB DDR2 RAM

There are two accounts on the computer. I have access to both of them, and both have administrator privileges. But one account cannot be logged into. When I log in, the computer runs the Welcome screen with the rotating circle, and then displays a Blue Screen of Death.

I think I can fix it from my computer, since the other account works. However, I haven't been able to scan the computer for viruses, since the computer freezes before the scanning is complete. This leads me to believe that a certain file is causing the problem, although I am not sure.

You should be able to just copy the files over to the other account that you need and stop using the one with the issue.

Before doing that, I would suggest you create a THIRD admin account just in case there is a badly formatted file in the documents of the account with the issue. It may not be a file, could be a registry entry specific to that account.
