I just bot a new system about a week ago . Its a gigabyte 970a-ud3 rev 1.2 with a fx 8350 and 16gb ram . I all so got a msi r9 270 not the 270x . I just wonted to no if it would be worth me getting a second one and run crossfire even though I can only run them at x16/x4 ?

More about : msi 270 work crossfire x16

No it will not. x4 will make your main 270 perform WORSE in crossfire than just having one.

You can only Crossfire with x16 and x8.
The logic of crossfire is what ever is the lowest multiplier it would level it across other PCI slots.
So lets say you use x4. Then all your GPU will run in x4. which would not be returning the value.

As you can see, LOWER FPS on x4. That will effect the main x16 GPU.
