My current setup:

i5 3570k
Sapphire 7870 XT (Tahiti LE)
Corsair 650W PSU
ASRock z77 Extreme4 motherboard
Cooler Master HAF 922 case (5 fans; exhaust are top 200mm and rear 140mm; intake are 140mm bottom, 200mm front, and 200mm side).
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ CPU cooler (2 fans, push/pull)

I kept telling myself I would buy a second Tahiti LE card later this month. They sold out and were discontinued. I said, "no worries, buy a 7950 on Black Friday." Then they were discontinued and sold out.

I have a second PC that has a MSI GTX 760 in it, and I could always swap my Tahiti LE card into that one, take the 760 out, buy a second 760, and do SLI... but I would need to upgrade my PSU.

Which isn't a bad thing; there's a couple of good deals on Newegg right now that I might take anyway, just to upgrade my PSU.

So now I'm left with the question: what's the better option? Do I keep my Tahiti LE card, and troll eBay/reddit for a used Tahiti LE card? Do I grab a second 760 right now? Or should I avoid the hassle of multi-card setups and wait for the 290 partner boards with better coolers, or just ditch the red team altogether and pick up a 770 or 780 during the Black Friday sale?

It's all so confusing.

Hello,
* You can simply crossfire your 7970 XT with R9-270X you might also like to read this article, http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-r9-280x-compatible-hd-7970-crossfire-mode-r9-270x-compatible-hd-7870-ghz/
But is it worth it!? I think yes, this makes your card far faster than a single 7970 or gtx 770 you might like to see these benchs

with the price of r9-270x's being as low as 200$, I'd say the scenario of 770 is out of question see here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127761
* How about SLI-ing 760?
I agree with this fact that SLI is more effective than CF so 7870XT= gtx 760 but the with SLI's being a little bit more effective, I would say SLI 760 would perfom nicer, however there is a draw back and is the price of gtx 760 see here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745
* How about single gtx 780
They are really equal see here

760 sli is a little better altogether
* what should I do now!?
Grab another 760 and sli your 760 it makes a great combination, according to benchmarks 760sli>780 so I see no reason to grab 780 here the ultimate answer is
760 SLI
Don't forget to close the post, if you feel you don't have any questions

The 7870 XT (Tahiti LE) can crossfire with the 270? Aren't the 270 series Pitcarin GPUs?

Edit: Yes, the 270x series cannot crossfire with my Sapphire 7870 XT. They can crossfire only with the 7870 (non-Tahiti) cards.
