What do you think of my black friday gaming build?

After much deliberation I have decided that I will take advantage of the current sales on components, and I will finally build myself my very own gaming pc, on a very limited budget, about $350. I really want to be able to play all the games coming out at at least 60fps 1600x900 on medium or even low quality. Also I feel I should mention that this PC is going with me to college next year for computer science.

Currently I have a few parts I can transfer over to this new build, such as wireless card, GTX 560ti, cd drive, floppy disk drive, and my mouse, keyboard and headphones. I can also switch out a hard drive if necessary, as I have a WD Black 1TB, possibly higher quality than the one listed.

So here is what I could come up with:
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Rosewill Hive 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($39.99 @ Newegg)
$346.95 after combo discount with hard drive and cpu.

Is that hard drive better than, worse than, or equal to the one I have now? One thing I'm not too hot on is the lack of a USB 3.0 header on the mobo, but otherwise, I just need a good case and I'm good to go. What do you guys think?

Edit: Apparently, the price of the barracuda just shot up $15. There may be a hard drive with a better deal.

-That motherboard is ok for your processor, but you wont be able to overclock it to much. The LE lacks heatsinks on its VRM and it has 4 pin CPU connector. Better get M5A97 Rev 2.0. or M5A97EVO Rev. 2.0. or Gigabyte GA 970-D3
-I think the Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB is $58 and it is good HDD, maybe i little slower than the Seagate but much more reliable in my opinion.

I've never overclocked before, but if i need to to get the desired results, then so be it. What is a VRM and why does it need a heat sink, and where do you see what type of pin CPU connector it has?
The Gigabyte GA 970-D3 looks really good to me, as it is nearly the same price, the only problem being it does not include free shipping. But for the USB 3.0 header I would say it is most definitely worth it.
As for the HD, the seagate is actually cheaper when you factor in the $13 combo deal with the CPU, and from the reviews I have read it will be fine.
Anyone know of a nice case I can get with USB 3.0 header, for under 50$?

Thanks for the input. I ended up going with this case. It was on sale yesterday for $20 less.
One last question. The mobo has 2 USB 3.0 header inputs, right?
It says:
Internal I/O Connectors
Onboard USB
2 x USB 3.0 + 6 x USB 2.0
