There's the 760 ROG MARS - though expect it to be far more than the 280X

Compareable to the 280X would be more like the GTX 770 pricewise

760 is pretty silly. SLi has problems and 2gb memory on it is going to cause problems down the line. just grab the fastest single card you can afford (290 is good value but wait for custom cooling)

Go with the r9 280x it's better then 760 and worse then 770 so it's in the middle, if you already have an 7970 then go crossfire, but if this is you first amd card then go r9 290 it's currently then best price/performance card, especially when amc released the driver which increased the performance for the 290, that was done to because nvidia dropped they're prices so amd responded back.

Yes 280X and 770 are near equal - overall performance will depend on the pre-OC and the users OC skills as to which in the end is better - as far as the 760 MARS this is not your everyday 760 - it's a dual 760 that has been reported to outrun the Titan GPUs - see here:

http://rog.asus.com/276632013/graphics-cards-2/faster-t...

and I anticipate it to be priced accordingly

If they are dual gpu the 760 then I think you should go crossfire 7970 with r9 280x they are compatible plus crossfire is fixed with no micro stuttering, but sli nvidia is maybe better because they have a lot more experience than amd, about dual gpu, I am backing this one, I don't have experience with dual Gpu so I hope you the best
