So i've got all of my parts for my PC, and I will be building it today!

However, after looking at my CD drives that I wanted to use from a previous build, it turns out they are IDE, and my Z87-A can only connect to SATA drives. They are also almost 7 years old so I thought it would be best to get a new one.

I've found this, and they are available from a local shop.

Now I've not massively bothered about about the cd drives, as long it works, that's all I really need.

However, the above says that it's a 'DVD±RW (Dual ±R)/DVD-RAM'.

Does this mean it can read CDs?!

Also, it's listed in the product discription towards the bottom of the page on that amazon link:

Use your DVD writer for any purpose with the media you desire (including CD-R, CD±RW, DVD±R, DVD±RW, DVD±R DL, DVD-RAM format discs)

and

Compatible with DVD±R (DL) and CD-R formats
