My specs are in the above. I haven't upgraded for a while now and I currently have a GTX 570 and have looked around and was wondering if the 780 would work perfectly fine, and I wouldn't have to upgrade other parts, ect. The 780 is JUST in my price range.

Any replies and help with the above info would be appreciated, thanks.

Ah, sorry about that. The sticker on the side of it says Cooler Master GX 750W.

This is the MB right?

If so, I don't see why you'd have problems upgrading to GTX 780. Maybe a slight one is the PCIe 2.0 slot, but that won't make significant difference.

PS : do you boost your CPU to 4GHz or over? The MB should have an option for that.

P67A-C43* is the MB.

CPU to 4GHz? I'm going to be honest, I seriously am not sure. I had this PC built for me and I'm still learning new things to this day. I'm familiar with some stuff but that's it unfortunately, again, still learning. Could you explain at all, how do I check that on my end to see if the CPU is boosted to/over 4GHz?

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it a lot. It's nice to know that I might just indeed be playing BF4 on a GTX 780 by the end of the year. Good stuff.

If you haven't done anything in the past about OCing then your CPU is working at 3.4GHz with turbo boost to 3.8GHz(stock settings). I mentioned the OCing because in some demanding games I believe you'll need to OC your CPU to 4GHz or over for better performance together with the GPU. You should have some kind of "high performance" option in the BIOS, or software to do that. However, you'll need a CPU cooler for that and some testing on prime95. If you are not familiar with this stuff, don't do it until you really have a need for it.

The bottom line is, GTX 780 will fit well, but keep in mind that BF4 is an unoptimized game and might cause some unexpected lag.

Thanks for everything. I'll ask about that (OCing) when I go in to have my GTX 780 installed.

Yeah, I get what you're saying with BF4. I hear mixed things about the optimization with the game itself.

I know this is somewhat off-topic... but in your opinion, as you have seen my specs in the above, what do you think I should start putting some cash aside to for upgrading? You see, if I get this GTX 780 I'll have a few hundred dollars left and I wouldn't mind spending some cash on it.

Well 8GB of RAM is more than enough for gaming, unless you have some cheap RAM which you can change to a better one. However, sandy bridge CPUs support 1333MHz RAMs so I don't think it's worth spending money on that (I assume your RAM is good enough). The PSU is fine. You can buy SSD drive, and I think that you should definitely get CPU cooler to get the max. out of your CPU.

There isn't much of an upgrade options in my opinion. You'll need a new MB for Haswell CPUs or AMD if you want and that's kinda major upgrade (money, not performance wise).

Sweet. Yeah, RAM is all good. I'm definitely going to look into CPU cooler when I go in and get the 780 installed.

Also, one last question, do you know if I can do SLI with my current PC build? Like, two GTX 680's? If not, all good. I'm just curious is all... and would that be better performance than the single 780 at all?

I can't see anywhere on your MB's specifications that it supports dual GPU (crossfire or SLI), plus it has only one PCIe 2.0 x16 and that pretty much says that it supports only one GPU.

Ah, yeah. Thought so. All good anyways.

Thanks for answering my questions. Appreciate it!
