I have this computer where the tower switches on but nothing is sent to the monitor to display.
I have to restart the tower many times before being successful in booting up my windows!
At first I thought the problem was with my monitor or its VGA cable but upon testing with other hardware, the problem persist!
I have a Dual Core Processor with 2 GB DDR2 RAM and a Biostar G31-M7 TE motherboard.

Things I did to find the problem:
1. tested using another monitor + VGA cable. Problem still present.
2. Changed RAM. The whole thing powers up normally and windows starts! But when the old RAM is put back, the PC still works fine!
3. Tested PSU. PSU ok
Please help!

Test with one ram stick and put in one dimm slot. If you get a successful or failure boot, Put that one ram stick in one ofte remaining 3 dimm slots and test again. If successful or failure, repeat in the last 2 dimm slots.. Repeat this process with your other ram stick. Make sure everything is connected properly. Lets make sure there isn't a malfunctioning dimm slot or ram stick. Little goes a long way!
