Can someone thoroughly explain 32-bit and 64-bit OS system types? What its difference, pros, cons, and everything in between. And can you please do it by not sounding too geeky?

64 bit is way ahead than 32 bit.
32 bit os cannot run applications specifically made for 64 bit os. But on the other hand 64 bit can emulate as a 32 bit and run applications made for 32 bit os.
Moreover 32 bit os tends to restrict itself to a max usage of 3.5 - 3.75 GB RAM. So installing a 64 bit os will ensure the proper usage of RAM.
