if you are a gamer go for the second one because of the gpu, or else go for the the first one because of the HDD and CPU

I would recommend you to buy toshiba satellite pro a it has the best configuration and sets your budget with all the high configuration. Also even if you get any problem, you could contact toshiba support who can help you in solving your problem with ease.

I want to ask though, would a I5 processor like that be capable of handling much gaming even if the GPU is the better of the bunch.

Ok guys Dell just put some better deals on offer so, the above are still on but:

The Inspiron 15 3537 $899
Inspiron 15 7000 Series - 7537 $859

New Inspiron 17R 5737 Laptop - $1049AUD
4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4500U processor (4M Cache, 1.8 GHz, with 8870M 2GB)
8GB 2 DIMM (2x4GB) DDR3L 1600Mhz
1TB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
AMD Radeon™ HD 8870M 2GB GDDR5
17.3 inch LED Backlit Display with Truelife and HD+ resolution (1600 x 900)

Inspiron 15 7000 Series - $1199AUD
4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4500U processor (4M Cache, up to 3.0 GHz)
8GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (4GBx2)
1TB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M 2GB DDR5
15.6 inch LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)

The original ones have now become cheaper they were $1000 or so. So what I'm asking is is it worth that little bit extra to get the FHD and better processor on the 7537? as opposed to the I5 one without the FHD

OR if we go by graphics card would the 17R 5737 be the better pick? However would the larger screen create a less sharp image as pixels may be stretched or whatever?

Then regarding the toshiba, since the GPU is much inferior right? would having such a faster CPU be that useful? Does gaming and other daily tasks even fully utilize the 4700MQ or are the 4500U or I5 4200U sufficient? (I also want to ask the reverse, will the 4500 or 4200 allow the GPU's to work to their potential)

sorry for all the long winded questions.
