ASUS Maximus VI HERO I/O shield help.

I bought this motherboard and the I/O shield was damaged and won't fit properly in my 600T, I'm looking for a replacement but have not been able to locate one. Have any idea of where I can get one?

You can get them on Ebay. Did you buy the board new?

Yeah I bought the board new from newegg, I could not find any on Ebay.

It seems they are only available from the US on Ebay. Have you tried getting in touch with Newegg? I'd be very surprised if they didn't replace it.

Well, I bought the board back in July along with my power supply, ram, cpu, ect..and just recently ordered the rest of my parts video card, ssd, mouse, keyboard, monitor. I have not actually installed windows and used the pc without the I/O shield, but if I were to ask newegg they would probably want me to return the whole motherboard and thats a pain in the ass.. is it safe to not use an I/O shield?
