How to clock gskill sniper at 1866? im a pc noob so ...

Asus 7950 dcii top 3gb
8gb ram (now at 1600)

It depends on how much frequency your mobo can allow the RAM to run at. 990FXA (GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+) allows 1866 by default and 2000 with O.C.

Go in bios and change dram frequency from 1600 to 1866 simple

i went into my bios and set my x.m.p. to profile 1 and it clocked to 1866 , is this ok?

I'm having the same problem. When I set all the BIOS timings manually, CPU-Z still shows the memory at "667".

Enable XMP/DOCP, then look in memory tab of CPU-z, it should be ~800MHz.
