Evening folks,

Had my Mobo and RAM a good while now and I have an issue I am hoping someone can help me with.

On a daily basis upon starting my PC I will get a BSOD a few minutes after entering the home screen. Programs start to open, then crash same with web-pages.

The blue screen code is MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. Taking out the RAM and replacing it solves this issue for the day or unless the PC is shut down for more than ~ 2 hours.

Is this a RAM issue or is it mobo related? I have ran memtest which doesn't pick up any errors which I find wierd. I have run individual sticks in the individuals DIMM slots to no avail. This was later in the day after I had removed the RAM to fix the issue earlier, would it still pick it up?

Ran whocrashed and got the report;

This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x705C0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x5003, 0xFFFFF70001080000, 0x42E0, 0x42E6000085C8)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

Cheers

Paul

Ran Memtest, came up with a ton of errors for an individual memstick. However in a different DIMM slot these errors wern't found again.

Added to that, my CPU is making a scratching noise when idle, was asked to run Prime95 on it, and when running the noise has gone.
