Hey guys i am building my own computer and was looking into cpu and since it seems that the i7 is overkill for gaming (which i intend to do with this computer) i want to know what should i go for. The intel or amd. Since money is not an issue here (not much of a difference) which one should i buy? Thanks
Alex

Go with the 4670k.
The [strike]8350[/strike] 8320 has a lot of strengths over the 4670k, but none of those matter because you wont be using such tasks.

The 4670k is the perfect CPU if you are just gaming.

i think it depends on how powerful your videocard will be... - if it's not top of the line model the amd will be just fine, i just built a fx-6350 system and im completely satisfied with it, but you know... intel has better memory controller, less heat, etc. etc. from benchmarks ive noticed thast the amd can keep up but there are slightly higher "dips" in fps than with the intel... but at the end of the day - it depends how the game is optimized... and many are for intel, if you multitask alot or stream while gaming the amd might even perform better in some scenarios

with a gtx770 you are probably right past the border where intel starts to seem a bit better for gaming ... so if money ain't no thing - go for intel,
amd scenario works really well when you can save some money and drop it into a higher model videocard... or for streamers - cuz that 8 core performs better at it, if you had a let's say gtx760 it might be the bottleneck for both cpu's and you's get practically the same performance...

The i7 isn't overkill, it (HT is the only addition to the i7 over the i5, which almost always does nothing for gaming, though it may help a little while streaming behind it) simply doesn't give you any advantage in gaming.

Since you're gaming (even while streaming), Intel.
