I was planning on building my own HTPC, instead I bought this desktop for cheap

Only thing I do not like about this is the motherboard, only have two SATA connection, so I can only put 2 HDD on it.
Can I upgrade to diff motherboard on this unit? How would that work with already installed window8?
Is it going to be impossible to so??
I was thinking I can use the CPU, RAM, HDD, and other part, and add a new MB and case to build my own HTPC... is that possible???
if not I guess I will just return it
