Asus K53E Wifi no longer connects to internet.

My father purchased an Asus K53E back in 2011. The Wifi connection has worked perfectly fine up until recently where it would connect to our router but would have no internet access. However, the other computers in our house can access the internet.

The only way access the internet is through the Ethernet cable.

Advice please? :D

First check to see that the wireless adapter is turned on -- a switch usually on the side or the Fn + F2 keys to enable it.

Check the device manager to see if the wireless adapter shows up there and says that the drivers are okay.

If all appears okay and you still have no connection, then open an elevated command prompt (right click and run as admin on the command prompt), and type ipconfig /all >c:\ip.txt and post the contents that will be in a text file on the c root drive.
