Samsung SSD Questions

The Pro benchmarks a little higher but for the average desktop user the EVO is a great drive and you would never notice any real performance difference, I just ordered a 250GB EVO off EBay this morning for $140 (it is actually sold by Adorama Camera -- a very reputable outfit).

It doesn't matter as long as it will take a 2.5 inch form factor drive and it is only 7mm height so it will fit any notebook that takes a 2.5 inch size drive. Many laptops have small carriers that the SSD (or HDD) are screwed into and you can put a small shim in if it is a 9.5mm height if necessary. The would be little sense IMO to put a Pro into a laptop for the price difference.

And if you need more space, the same EBay deal has the 500GB for only $280.
