hi im trying to build my first computer for gaming and school use i was wondering what would be a good mobo to use with this video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121775
also this was the processor im looking to buy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i5-3570K-3-40-GHz-Unlocked-Processor-Socket-LGA-1155-3rd-Gen-NEW-L-K-/271332551967?pt=CPUs&hash=item3f2cae2d1f
i know i want to buy an intel core i5 or i7 and this was the cheapest i could find, is this ok, is there a good mobo to use thats compatible with this? (i also know i want 240 pins for my ram slots)
so my question is, is this processor good to go and what motherboard should i get? i barely learned about computer parts and brands yesterday

As you are going for an Intel Ivybridge processor, you will need to get an LGA 1155 socket motherboard, The 3570K is a good all round processor for gaming and general use, but it is last generation. If this is to save money, that is fine - it will still work well, otherwise go for the new Intel Haswell processors (again an i5 is good) and 1150 motherboards. If you are staying with the Ivybridge 3570K, go for a Z77 motherboard (it will allow you to overclock the graphics card and processor when you are confident enough. I would recommend either Asus or Gigabyte in terms of a decent build, but you do not need to go for the really high end boards - low to mid-range would do:

All the RAM slots on these board will take DDR3 memory (240 pins).

Good hunting.
