The first thing to do is to find out exactly what model it is. You can do this from the serial number, which I can not quite read:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1635

This will help you to discover which hard drives you can use. Obviously, a new hard drive will mean that you need to reinstall the OS. Do you have the disks that came with it? If not they can normally be picked up fairly cheaply on eBay - but you need the right disks for your model. Macs are pretty fussy about this.

I read it all but the ending , w8838jnh3h. The text is a little blurred but I tried to read it as good as I could.

I found this one , Not buying it but it seemed to match the processor speed: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

And would a Toshiba 250gb hard drive work?(doubt it.)

I couldn't identify it by serial number, but the EMC number, plus the fact that it's 2.1GHz identify it as this model: http://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook...

As far as I know, any 2.5" SATA drive ought to work, so if you have a spare Toshiba one it's worth trying. If you are going to buy one you might Google "MacBook hard drive" which will turn up a few suppliers.
