what to do with extra SATA ports? ideas...

so, my mobo has 5 SATA ports, and I have a PCI expansion card that has 4 ports (either 4 internal, or 2 internal + 2 eSATA external). but I'm currently only using 4 of the mobo ports (OS, DVD, storage1, storage2). my case can accommodate another few drives easily - even moreso if they're 2.5"-ers since I can use funky brackets.

anyhoo, point is - what should I do with the excess SATA ports on the card? the card can do RAID (0,1,01,5,JBOD,Indiv), so I suppose I could pick up a few small used drives and play with RAID, or use it for some automated backup drives, or just ignore it, or hook up a lightbulb to it, or......

only thing I'd NOT do is build a second computer - I have no need for two machines.

ideas?

The card's already in there, installed since 1-2 years ago, but unused. I bought it expecting to run many smaller drives, but that didn't pan out. Old Seagate drives are going to be scrapped (or at least demoted), and new WD were quite cheap per GB of space.

Hmm.....
