So I found these both on Newegg, and want to find out which the better one is for the money and graphic wise. How does the mail in rebate work? Like I know you get money back but is it like a giftcard for MSI or just a check to get cash?

This one is 150$ with a 20$ mail in rebate

And this one is 130$ with a 30$ mail in rebate

Both are good cards, just depends if you want to spend more to get more performance (which makes it worth the extra for future proof, OC, and crossfire). However going from a 610 to a 7850 or 7870 is going to be like seeing the sky for the first time...

It is actually $30 after MIR so it is up to the OP since he asked performance/price.

inorder to compete with consoles, make sure to go sli or crossfire. its the future and more and more games are supporting it everyday! infact the performance doubles in most games, and is as easy as installing an bridge to significantly improve your 3d graphics its amazing! I maxxed out crysis 3 with 2 gtx 660's and i get 60 fps with vsync best graphics I have ever seen bro!

Lol my bad didn't pay attention just one last question, should I just wait till 2014 to see if prices drop cause of new things coming out? Cause I am not gonna be able to use the computer till the 25th so I can hold off for a couple days or weeks to get something better for the price.

HD7870 for $130 after MIR is a lot of GPU power for the price, doubt if you see a better deal soon.

Don't really have one yet iceclock, but I found a 600w Corsair on amazon for 50$ so I might get that one soon. Would it be safe to run a graphics card that needs 500w on a 500w power supply? I just don't know if it would fry or anything. And do you know how the mail in rebate works?

id say get a 600watter instead of 500watts. its ok to run it on 500 but u want headroom if something ever needs more juice.

yes the rebates u send ur name and info to them than they send u a pre-paid gift card of 30$ or whatever the ammount the rebates worth.

Graphics card needing 500watts is meant for the total system so perfectly safe!
