Solution spentshells Nov 28, 2013 frankly you couldn't overclock the amd enough for it to surpass the intel without 100 dollars in cooling or more, nether is a good choice look for a used phenom 2 or core 2 quad machine, likely get it cheaper and the performance would be a lot better. unless you mean athlon 2, nothing wrong with those chips and they can overclock like crazy
