Are you buying a monitor: Unless I can find a nice deal at my local best but or futureshop,
Do you need to buy OS: Yes, and I would like windows 8. Not cause I like it, cause it just runs that tiny but faster

Parts Preferences: I would definitely want to get my hands on the brand new intel processors
Overclocking: Yes
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in the future, but I think it would be overkill for a one monitor setup

Additional Comments: I would definitely like a case with a window, but not a full tower, cause I don't feel my parents will be too happy with a full size tower lying around the house, and I would love to use the NZXT Hue light controller. Also I am willing to go over budget if it means I can future proof a bit more
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Well my current computer is just not cutting it. It's a 2011 iMac, and the processor and graphics card were pretty good,I bought it cause I knew my parents wouldn't really condone me building a computer in the house, but I talked them into it this time
