So tommorow is Black Friday and will finally be able to get the new components for my pc, all but a new gpu:mmmfff:. Anyways, at Microcenter i will be getting a psu, new mobo, fx8320, and a 1tb external hdd to back up all my stuff in case i have to reinstall windows or lose data/programs after the hardware swap. I have chosen 4 mobos i can get there that are in my budget, with the first one being the one i want the most and the rest in case they dont have the one before, list going in order from most wanted to least:

Asrock 970 Extreme4 -$100
Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 -$85
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 -$95
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 -$100
All will have a $40 discount at checkout btw, i listed their full price before discount.

I put the 970 Extreme4 at the top because i am sure i will eventually run an SLI and that is the only board in my budget which can support SLI. I thought the 970 Extreme3 could do SLI, but it can only do Crossfire, right? can the 970 Extreme3 run two NVIDIA cards in SLI? like two 760's or 770's?

So I also want to know how these boards can handle overclocks. You guys think they can be reliable and stable with slight-moderate overclocks? I plan on possibly overclocking the 8320 to like a 4.0ghz or whatever the board can handle for a stable overclock that will be used everyday without putting too much stress on the system so the lifespan can stay higher. And what do you guys think about the 970 E4 (or 970 E3 if it can do SLI) running two cards in SLI, will it be able to with good stability and reliability?

Again, i would love to get a better board like that, but right now i just cannot with my budget. I can jump for an Asrock 990FX Extreme4 at $140 but i would have no money left at all. Only have like a $300 budget for all the parts i need, listed in OP

I think I am actually going to get a gigabyte ga-970a-ud3 since it has an 8+2 power phase and there are a lot of extra perks that will come in handy like its proprietary DualBios, if I mess up the first bios or do a bad bios update, it will automatically switch over to the second, that will be a huge safety net since I kill everything I touch. You can also update the bios through windows only with gigabyte.
I don't really care for SLI anymore. I think one 770 or 780 will be good enough and I can always just do crossfire
