When I populate the orange DIMM slots on my motherboard, I get errors in Linx or any linpack test including IBT and OCCT. I'm sure the modules are good since I ran memtest on the two sets of triple channel GSkill dimms am using using the yellow slots.

The error comes up either when I'm running on stock and while overclocked. But when I only have DIMMs on the yellow slots, all is good. I've enabled SPD, tried different timings, losening them up, but still I get errors. I even tried putting only one slot dimm into the orange slot while the yellow slots are filled to no avail.

Do i have a shot mobo?

Sounds like the motherboard is bad if it can not be stable in with orange slots populated. Double check CPU installation, make sure pins are perfect, and try again. If same problem, most likely you need a new motherboard.

Thank you
